    • Meet with other referees monthly for education, training, updates to law/rules, and camaraderie.
    • To fulfill required continued education: 3 calendar year meetings for USSF, and 5 school year meetings for TSSAA.
  • I want to referee local High School games. What do I need to do?
  • How do I re-register for High School each year?
    • Pay TSSAA registration fee
    • Attend at least 1 TSSAA state-sponsored soccer rules meeting (normally at Central HS in Aug., and another location in Jan.)
    • Attend at least 5 TVSRA association meetings for TSSAA
  • I want to ref Adult league games. What do I need to do?
    • You must be a licensed USSF referee and be assigned games by the TVSRA Scheduling Officer (Susan Williamson).
Check the Soccer Officials of TN website for approved USSF registration courses.
  • How do I get assignments from TVSRA after proper USSF registration?
    • First, pay the additional $7 Adult League Arbiter account dues to the TVSRA Treasurer. The Treasurer will notify Susan Williamson, our Scheduling Officer (scwill50 [at] aol.com), who will add you to the Arbiter account and then be able to assign you to the USSF adult league matches.
  • How do I re-register for USSF each year?
    • Take the USSF Recertification Class (and pass the exam) or Members who attend 5 TVSRA training sessions and pass the recertification exam (at the November meeting), are not required to attend the USSF Recert Class. Submit an online USSF registration form and pay the registration fee.
  • Use the links throughout this website for bylaws, association policies, and additional guidance!

Important to Note:

Understand that being a registered TSSAA official or USSF official does not guarantee you will be assigned matches and that assignments are made based on the experience and knowledge of the Scheduling Officer(s). TVSRA will attempt, but shall not be bound, to assign officials based on their expertise and qualifications.

NOTE: New members should not expect to be assigned to matches until they have at least two years of officiating experience (NFHS, USSF, AYSO, etc.) unless they reveal special circumstances demonstrating an accelerated understanding of soccer and officiating (such as playing at a high level). Refer to the New Member Package for additional details.
