Coaches Responsibilities: All high school coaches are responsible for their teams in accordance with current NFHS and TSSAA rules and regulations. In regards to the TVSRA, the assigning authority for officials in the local area, coaches will ensure the following: All game schedules are to be submitted to the assigning officer in a timely manner, January 15 for the boy’s season and June 15 for the girl’s season. Any modifications to the schedule should be reported immediately. In the event of bad weather for game cancellations, the coach of the host school should contact the TVSRA hotline at 690-5988 as soon as the decision has been made to cancel, postpone or reschedule the game. The assigning officer should be notified by email in order to reassign referee crews for the match. The decision to cancel must be posted on the hotline at least three hours prior the start of the match or the school could be liable for payment to the originally assigned officiating team. Cancelled, postponed or rescheduled games can also be posted on the TVSRA official website. Tournament schedules are to be submitted to the assigning officer with the school’s regular season schedule. Any modifications to the schedule should be submitted to the assigning officer immediately. In the case of bad weather during a tournament, the same guidelines are to be followed as regular season games. Coaches can check the TVSRA website (www.tvsra.net) for any current changes in referee assignments. The website will be updated every evening by 12:00AM. Coaches may submit a Referee Evaluation Form found on the website under Coaches and post game cancellations. The coach will also need to post the cancellation on the hotline number at 690-5988. Coaches will carefully check the referee assignments schedule for the correct date, time, place and opponent. They will confirm by email before the first game of the season that they have received the schedule and that their games are correct
